Cannes, France - May 17, 2022 — Sphinx Productions announces production of Audiophilia – Adventures in the World of Hi-Fi, a Crave Original documentary to be directed and produced by acclaimed filmmaker Ron Mann (Carmine Street Guitars, Altman, Comic Book Confidential), about the love of listening to music on the world’s best stereo equipment.

The film, produced in partnership with Bell Media’s Crave, profiles the inventors, designers, and major-league audiophiles, engaged in the never-ending quest to find audio nirvana. The film is a deep dive into the subculture of sonic obsessives around the world who seek out esoteric electronics, that are often visually stunning, and turn their homes into audio sanctuaries.

Sphinx Productions will be present the film to buyers at the 2022 Cannes Film Market. Completion date is scheduled for late 2023. Accompanying the documentary will be a touring exhibit, an illustrated companion book, and an amazing music soundtrack.
